Bone graft

Advantages :

1. Allows dental implants (ceramic or titanium) to be placed in places where it would have been impossible to position them due to lack of bone;
2. Improves the aesthetics of the smile in areas where teeth have been extracted;
3. Improves the bone emergence profile of a dental implant to produce a crown that looks like a natural tooth;
4. Supports the maxillary sinus to allow positioning of one or more dental implants;
5. Gives the surgeon the opportunity to choose an implant size that is better suited to the patient’s masticatory function (for example, to be able to place a larger dental implant to replace a molar);
6. Improves the comfort and aesthetics of fixed bridges, partial or complete prostheses.
7. Allogenic or xenogenic bone is used: the use of allogenic (patient’s own) bone allows the surgeon to  work in a single surgical site. Taking the patient’s bone requires a second surgical site and leads to more post-operative disconfort
